"In Home Design 20 years, In business 7 years"

I was born into a very creative family inheriting the desire to change and modify my surroundings. This was probably garnered from my Mother who fashioned a wonderful home for my 6 sisters and myself, having to recycle soft furnishings, furniture, clothes and toys. I was brought up to appreciate what we had and if we wanted new then we changed what we already had . This was a good start in life and as I became responsible for my own home and family I started to develop techniques that could be used in the contemporary world. 

Jennifer Ross Inspirations began to evolve back in the hip days of wood chip paper, painted in the safe old colour magnolia! when painting your paper a different colour was seen as revolutionary!

In those days rooms were just for existing in, not necessarily to feel comfortable and at peace in, barely practical. Instead today we design and create rooms with the whole person in mind , creating an environment that is holistic, reflecting ones personality and character.  

Well 20 years on and I still come across similar situations due to poor design, or environments that are merely spruced up with a coat of paint. This is tragic because much more is available. Our surroundings should be a place where we can feel inspired, creative, and be at peace in our forever changing world.

This is the direction I am coming from and this is the aim of 'Jennifer Ross Inspirations', to take advantage of modern innovative materials, to achieve new and effective ways of living in the modern world

Implementing radical changes can be daunting and often takes boldness but the rewards can be fruitful for the future. One would think that interior design would be simpler in this day and age, but the truth is, its getting more challenging due to the choice and variety available
